Important: The Joint Commission has changed the way that online CE credits are calculated.  As a result, most eyetec.net Modules are still worth 1 CEC, but a few are worth .75 or .5 CEC.  The changes are reflected in the items listed below.

Payments are made through Paypal, a convenient, secure method of credit card payment over the internet.  Paypal does not charge you a fee for this service, and you do not have to have a Paypal account for Paypal to process your credit card payment.  Click here for instructions on how to pay with a credit card without a Paypal account.

Shopping Cart Instructions: 

1. To pay for a CE credit for a particular course, click on the "add to cart" button opposite the course description.  Clicking on the button will take you to the "Your Shopping Cart" page.  Note: If you have a pop-up blocker on your web browser, you may need to turn it off or "allow pop-ups" for Paypal to work.

2. To add another course, click the "continue shopping" button on the shopping cart page, and you will return to this page where you can add another course. 

3. If you make a mistake, you can make changes on the shopping cart page by changing the quantity or you can remove an entry.  Once you make a change, you must click "update cart" for the changes to take effect. 

4. Once you have added all the course you intend to pay for, click the "proceed to checkout" button. 

5. Post-test submissions and payments are not linked.  You can submit multiple post-tests before paying the fees for all your credits at one time.

CE credit confirmation:  To obtain your CE credit confirmation, go to the homepage and click the "CE credit confirmation" link in the upper left hand corner of the homepage under "Quicklinks".  In most cases, the confirmation will be posted within 24 hours of your payment.

I can't get to the Paypal page to complete the payment,  what do I do now?  This problem is often do to a pop-up blocker on your web browser.  Turn the pop-up blocker off, or "allow pop-ups" and try it again.

Does a post-test submission trigger a payment?  No. The two processes are not automatically linked.  You can submit post-tests without submitting a payment.  The advantage is that you can submit post-tests over time and they are stored in the database until you submit a payment, then the CE credits are processed.

Do I have to pre-pay before I read the modules and submit post-tests?  No. In fact, we prefer that you do not pre-pay.  Read the modules and submit your post-tests one at a time or more than one at a time.  You can submit payment when you have all of your modules completed, or at any time.  Post-tests are not graded and CE credits are not processed until payment is made.

How do I receive credit confirmation?  CE credits are processed after your payment and your registration are received.  To get your confirmation, go to the homepage and click on the "Quick link" on the left side that says "CE credit confirmation".  Follow the directions.  CE confirmations are posted in the form of a PDF file.  You must have a PDF reader to view the confirmation.  The reader can be downloaded free from Adobe.com.

Can I receive Joint Commission and OPS credit at the same time?  Yes, those Modules that are approved for both credits give you both credits for one fee.  Both credits will be listed on the CE credit confirmation.

What happens if I make multiple post-test submissions and multiple payments?  Your confirmation is updated after each payment.

How fast will I receive my confirmation?  Within 24 hours of our receiving your payment and your registration information.  Both are required, but you only have to submit your registration information once.  CE credits are usually processed around 10:30pm CST, but sometimes earlier and sometimes latter. 

What happens to my post-test if I do not make a payment?  It just sits there in the database, unprocessed, until a payment is made.  "Orphan" post-tests are eventually deleted.

What happens if I pay too much?  You will have a credit until another post-test is received, or until you request a refund.

How do I start over with the payment process if I make a mistake?  From the "Your Shopping Cart" page you can remove an item or change the quantity.  You have to click the "update cart" button for the changes to take effect.

What happens if I "flunk" a post-test?  First of all, if you read the material carefully, and/or answer the questions as you go along, that won't happen.  The questions are taken directly from the text.  If you do flunk, there is no charge for one re-test.  The CE credit confirmation will list each question number for each of the post-tests that you submitted.  Each question that you answered correctly will be indicated by a "1".  Each incorrect answer is indicated by a "0".  Your confirmation will be posted within 24 hours.  You can get the confirmation by following the "CE credit confirmation" link on the top left side of the homepage, under "Quicklinks".

Can someone else pay for me?  Yes, but be sure to have that person enter your name as the person receiving credit.  There is an opportunity to do this in the payment process.

Can I make one payment for several different people?   Yes, but be sure to enter the names of those receiving credit.  There is an opportunity to do this in the payment process.

Do you send my CE credits to the Joint Commission or to the OPS?  We do not send your credits to the agencies.  That is your responsibility during the application process.  We do provide confirmation to the agencies if you are audited.

Can I submit my post-tests online and send a check in the mail?  Yes, the credits will be processed when the check is received. 

 How do I contact you if I have a problem? The best way to contact me is by e-mail.  I check e-mail several times a day.  You can call my home phone or my cell phone, but I work during the day and cannot usually answer the phone.  I will return your call, but to avoid phone tag, send an e-mail.  The contact information is on the contact page.
