Description of content:   

 

This module discusses A-scan vs B-scan, B-scan vs OCT, ultrasound physics, B-scan principles, instrumentation, orientation and visualization, and examination techiques.

 

Instructional  objectives:  Upon completion of  this course,  the student should be able to:

  • define terms related to ultrasound physics, B-scan principles, and instrumentation

  • describe how to use the controls of the B-scan

  • describe B-scan examination techniques

   
 

About the Author: 

 

Gary Gallimore is a certified ophthalmic technologist who assists with research at the Eye Foundation of Kansas City and works for a large multi-specialty ophthalmology practice in the metro area of Kansas City.   He has taught CE courses for many years on all subjects of ophthalmic technology.
